Questions families ask
Plain answers about studying in Tanzania and abroad with ChuoLink.
What does ChuoLink do?
ChuoLink is an education consultancy in Tanzania. We help students choose a course and a university, apply in Tanzania and abroad, find scholarships, and prepare their documents, visa and travel. Your file stays open with us until you arrive.
Which countries can I study in through ChuoLink?
India, Malaysia and China, at the universities we work with, and universities across Tanzania.
What do I need to start?
Your Form Four or Form Six results, or your certificates, and your birth certificate. For study abroad you also need a passport; we tell you each document a step needs when it needs it.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the university, the programme and the destination. We tell you every fee before you commit, and each one is raised as an invoice you can pay in the ChuoLink app.
Can I apply to more than one university?
Yes. Each application is followed on its own, and you see where each one stands.
Do you help with scholarships?
Yes. We tell you about scholarships open to students from Tanzania and help you apply for the ones that fit your results.
Do you help with the visa and travel?
Yes. We prepare your passport, police and medical clearance, yellow fever card, No Objection Certificate, the destination's study authorisation and the visa, and plan your departure with your intake.
What is the difference between a passport and a visa?
A passport is issued by Tanzania and proves who you are and your nationality. A visa is permission from the country you go to, to enter it and stay there to study. You need the passport first; the visa is issued for it.
How do I follow my application?
In the ChuoLink app. Once we open your file, your account sees each step, every invoice and every payment, and you hear from us when something moves.
Is ChuoLink registered?
Yes. Africa Chuolink Limited is registered with the Tanzania Commission for Universities as an overseas student recruitment agency, LOA No. 20250712-09.
